ERBIL (Kurdistan24) – Kurdistan Region President Nechirvan Barzani met with Germany’s Defense Minister Boris Pistorius on Friday during the Munich Security Conference. The leaders discussed ongoing security challenges, particularly the threat of ISIS and the evolving situation in Syria, highlighting their shared commitment to stability in the region.

Further reinforcing this commitment, defense ministers from Germany, Belgium, and the Netherlands confirmed during a NATO meeting in Brussels on Thursday that their countries will maintain a military presence in the Kurdistan Region. Their collective pledge underscores the strong international backing for security and stability in the region.
