Escalating ISIS Activity
According to the Syrian Observatory, since the beginning of 2025, ISIS sleeper cells have carried out 27 operations across areas under the Autonomous Administration’s control. These attacks have included armed assaults, targeted killings, and bombings.
Rising Death Toll
The Observatory’s records indicate that these attacks have resulted in the deaths of at least 12 people, including eight SDF fighters and four ISIS members. The surge in ISIS activity has heightened security concerns in northeastern Syria, where the group continues to exploit instability to carry out its operations.
