Iraqi security forces repel ISIS attack, regain control of key road

ERBIL (Kurdistan24)—Security forces have successfully regained control of the road between Tuz Khurma and Kifri after an attack by ISIS fighters, according to a reliable source from the Peshmerga Ministry.
The attack, carried out by four ISIS militants from Palkana village, targeted the 88th Brigade of the Iraqi army’s second battalion. During the confrontation, one of the attackers detonated an explosive device, but security forces swiftly responded to the threat.
Thanks to the rapid intervention of the Iraqi army and security personnel, the situation is now under control. Authorities continue their efforts to secure the area, ensuring the safety of travelers and residents.
