ERBIL (Kurdistan24) – Iran's Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Ismail Baghaei has condemned Israel's recent airstrikes on Iranian territory, declaring that the attack has effectively nullified ongoing diplomatic efforts and crossed Iran's red lines. His comments were reported by Pupils Association News Agency (PANA) and echoed by Jamaran.

"The other side acted in a way that rendered dialogue meaningless," Baghaei stated. "One cannot simultaneously claim to pursue negotiations while coordinating and allowing a genocidal regime to target Iran's territorial integrity."

He criticized what he described as the Zionist regime’s longstanding aim of drawing Western countries into regional entanglements. "It appears that this time as well, it has succeeded in influencing the diplomatic process," Baghaei said.

The Iranian spokesperson emphasized that such an act would be inconceivable without tacit or explicit U.S. approval. "It is inconceivable that the regime committed such a crime without U.S. approval," he remarked.

In response to the escalating situation, Baghaei announced that Iran had requested an emergency session of the United Nations Security Council. "Our expectation is that all concerned nations will condemn this crime. The Security Council has a clear responsibility, and the aggressive act by the regime must be seriously addressed with the necessary mechanisms implemented."

Reiterating Iran's stance, Baghaei concluded that the attack had not only undermined diplomatic dialogue but had succeeded in further destabilizing the regional and international order.
