Israel Deepens Strikes on Iranian Nuclear Sites, IDF Spokesperson Reveals New Details

“On the screen, you can see the site where reconversion of enriched uranium takes place. This is the stage following enrichment in the process of developing a nuclear weapon,” Defrin said, sharing visual evidence of the aftermath.

ERBIL (Kurdistan24) — The Israeli military has intensified its offensive against Iran’s nuclear infrastructure, carrying out a renewed and wide-scale strike overnight on key facilities in Isfahan and western Iran, according to a statement by IDF Spokesperson Brigadier General Effie Defrin posted Saturday afternoon on X.

“Overnight, we deepened the strike on the nuclear site in Isfahan and in western Iran,” Defrin said, referring to the reconversion facility responsible for transforming enriched uranium into material usable for nuclear weapon development.

“On the screen, you can see the site where reconversion of enriched uranium takes place. This is the stage following enrichment in the process of developing a nuclear weapon,” he said, sharing visual evidence of the aftermath.

Defrin noted that the site had already been targeted in the opening phase of the Israeli military operation, but the new round of strikes was intended to consolidate earlier successes and deliver further damage.

“Last night, we struck it again in a wide-scale strike to reinforce our achievements. This is how the site now looks following the latest strike,” he said, referring to newly released imagery.

The renewed attack underscores Israel’s continued focus on dismantling Iran’s nuclear program amid an escalating war that erupted on June 13. Israeli officials have declared that the goal of the operation is to neutralize what they call an existential threat posed by Iran’s nuclear ambitions and ballistic missile arsenal.

Isfahan, a critical hub in Iran’s nuclear infrastructure, has been targeted multiple times since the beginning of the war. The city hosts key facilities tied to uranium enrichment and advanced research, making it a central focus of Israel’s strategic campaign.

The Israeli military has claimed several successful hits on Iranian military and nuclear targets across the country, including the elimination of senior commanders and the destruction of missile systems and drone launchers.

Iran has denounced the attacks as acts of aggression and vowed retaliation, while the international community continues to call for de-escalation to prevent a broader regional conflict. Despite these appeals, Israel’s military leadership appears resolute in continuing its operations “until the threat is removed,” as previously stated by Gen. Defrin.

More developments are expected as both sides brace for what could become a prolonged and volatile confrontation.
