ERBIL (Kurdistan24) – U.S. President Donald J. Trump, flanked by top members of his national security team, delivered a televised address on Sunday  hailing the American military operation against Iran’s nuclear sites as a decisive and historic success. The President confirmed that the key Iranian nuclear enrichment facilities in Fordow, Natanz, and Esfahan had been “completely and totally obliterated.”

“Our objective was the destruction of Iran’s nuclear enrichment capacity and a stop to the nuclear threat posed by the world’s number one state sponsor of terror,” Trump said. “Tonight, I can report to the world that the strikes were a spectacular military success.”

‘Iran Must Now Make Peace’

Trump issued a stark warning to Tehran, demanding an end to its confrontational policies. “Iran, the bully of the Middle East, must now make peace. If they do not, future attacks will be far greater and a lot easier.”

He accused Iran of decades of violence, stating, “For forty years, Iran has been saying death to America, death to Israel. They have been killing our people... That was their specialty.”

Trump specifically referenced the U.S. casualties linked to Iranian-backed attacks and the role of the late Quds Force commander Qasem Soleimani, declaring: “I decided a long time ago that I would not let this happen. It will not continue.”

Coordination with Israel, Praise for U.S. Military

The President emphasized close coordination with Israel in executing the strike, thanking Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the Israeli military. “We worked as a team like perhaps no team has ever worked before,” he said.

Trump offered effusive praise to the American armed forces: “I want to congratulate the great American patriots who flew those magnificent machines tonight and all of the United States Military on an operation the likes of which the world has not seen in many, many decades.”

He reserved special acknowledgment for General Dan “Raising” Caine, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, and Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, calling them “brilliant military minds.”

A Stark Ultimatum

With escalating rhetoric, Trump declared: “There will be either peace or there will be tragedy for Iran far greater than we have witnessed over the last eight days... There are many targets left. Tonight’s was the most difficult... but if peace does not come quickly, we will go after those other targets with precision, speed, and skill.”

He ended the address with a message of patriotism and religious invocation: “God bless the Middle East. God bless Israel and God bless America.”

According to Trump, Defense Secretary Hegseth and General Caine are scheduled to deliver a follow-up briefing at 8:00 AM Sunday at the Pentagon.
