Kurdish Unity in Focus as KDP and PUK Hold Talks in Pirmam
According to party officials, the Pirmam meeting focused on deepening coordination between the two main Kurdish political forces in addressing the delayed salary payments for KRG civil servants, and strengthening a unified Kurdish position in negotiations with the Iraqi federal government.

ERBIL (Kurdistan24) — Under the auspices of President Masoud Barzani, senior delegations from the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) and the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) convened on Monday, in Pirmam to resume negotiations on key issues, including the salary crisis, Kurdish unity in Baghdad, oil exports, and the formation of the next cabinet of the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG).
The PUK delegation, led by PUK leader Bafel Talabani, included PUK politburo members Qubad Talabani, Rafaat Abdullah, Darbaz Kosrat Rasul, and Nizar Amedy. The KDP’s delegation was comprised of KDP deputy leader Nechirvan Barzani, and Masrour Barzani, Fazil Mirani, Head of the KDP Executive Board, and members of the KDP Executive Board, Sidad Barzani, Hoshyar Zebari, and Mahmoud Mohammed.
