IRGC Warns Iranian Public of Spy Recruitment Via Mobile Apps
Iran's IRGC has warned the public via ISNA of recruitment attempts by enemy spy services using mobile apps. The alert comes amid heightened tensions with Israel and concerns over Mossad's activities inside Iran.

ERBIL (Kurdistan 24) – Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has issued a direct public warning, urging citizens to be vigilant against recruitment efforts by foreign spy services operating through mobile phone applications, a development that follows a recent military escalation with Israel.
The Intelligence Organization of the IRGC released a message calling for public awareness of propaganda and recruitment tactics. According to the Iranian Students' News Agency (ISNA), the full text of the message is as follows:
"Dear fellow citizen,
Given the increased efforts by enemy intelligence services—by means of widespread advertisements on mobile phone applications and requests for cooperation and treason against the country—it is essential that you reject said advertisements. Furthermore, please take action to inform those around you and be vigilant regarding this enemy tactic.
The IRGC Intelligence Organization"
These warnings come amid what official media have described as growing concern in Tehran about Israeli penetration, implicitly referencing the activity of Israel's Mossad intelligence agency inside Iran. The alert follows a period of heightened tensions, which culminated last month when Israel launched a 12-day air campaign targeting Iranian facilities and sites in Syria and Iraq, accompanied by cyberattacks and explosions within Iran.
Mossad is believed to have been involved in these operations, which have previously included the assassination of senior Iranian military leaders and scientists connected to the country’s nuclear program. In response, Tehran has reportedly strengthened its security measures and launched domestic arrest campaigns targeting individuals accused of collaborating with foreign entities.
For years, the two countries have been engaged in an undeclared shadow war that has encompassed intelligence operations, cyberattacks, and mutual strikes often carried out through regional allies.
