ERBIL (Kurdistan24) – The commander of the Iranian Army has declared that Iran’s missile and drone capabilities remain "unscathed" and the country is fully "fit for combat" following a recent military conflict with Israel and the United States, according to a report from the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC)-affiliated Tasnim news agency.

In a report published Sunday, the agency stated that the Commander of the Iranian Army, Major General Amir Hatami, highlighted Iran's preparedness for military confrontation while addressing a meeting of senior Army Ground Force commanders.

According to Tasnim, Major General Hatami asserted that Iran "emerged victorious in the recent war of aggression imposed by the Zionist regime," despite the martyrdom of a number of Iranian military commanders, nuclear scientists, and civilians. He claimed that the "Israeli enemy failed to achieve its objectives after Iran dealt serious blows to the enemy."

The commander emphasized that the military readiness of the Islamic Republic has not been diminished. The report from Tasnim quotes him as saying that the "missile and drone power of the Islamic Republic of Iran remains stable and well-kept as the country is fit for military operations in the same way that the Armed Forces proceeded with counterattacks on the Israeli enemy until the very last moments before a ceasefire was imposed on the Zionist regime."

The Army chief also pledged that Iran would continue its military development, stating that the country "will press ahead with advancing its defense industries with dogged determination," the agency reported.

The Tasnim report provided a timeline and narrative of the recent conflict from Tehran's perspective. It stated that "the Zionist regime waged an unprovoked war of aggression against Iran on June 13 and struck Iran’s military, nuclear and residential areas for 12 days." The report continued by stating that "the US stepped in and conducted military attacks on three nuclear sites in Iran’s Natanz, Fordow and Isfahan on June 22."

In response to these actions, the agency reported, "The Iranian military forces conducted powerful counterattacks immediately after the aggression." Specifically, Tasnim detailed that "The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps Aerospace Force carried out 22 waves of retaliatory missile strikes against the Zionist regime as part of Operation True Promise III that inflicted heavy losses on cities across the occupied territories."

Furthermore, the report noted that "in response to the US attacks, Iranian armed forces launched a wave of missiles at al-Udeid air base in Qatar, the largest American military base in West Asia."

The fighting, according to the news agency's account, concluded at the end of June. "A ceasefire that came into force on June 24 brought the fighting to a halt," the report concluded.
