President Barzani Meets Iraqi Tribal Leaders, Calls for Stronger Kurdish-Arab Ties

ERBIL (Kurdistan24) — President Masoud Barzani on Sunday welcomed a delegation of prominent figures, elders, and tribal leaders from several Iraqi provinces at his headquarters in the Pirmam district of Erbil.
According to a statement from Barzani Headquarters, the delegation offered condolences to President Barzani over the death of the late Abdulwahid Ibrahim Sheikh AbdulSalam Barzani.
During the meeting, the delegation praised President Barzani’s role in promoting fraternity and coexistence among Iraq’s diverse communities, particularly between Kurds and Arabs.
The meeting also addressed the historic and fraternal ties between the two communities. President Barzani stressed that political disagreements between different parties should not be allowed to undermine the relations between Kurds and Arabs.
He said he had instructed Kurdish lawmakers to serve all of Iraq and the Kurdistan Region without discrimination in carrying out their duties.
President Barzani also emphasized the need to continue efforts to strengthen the fraternity and relations between the Arab and Kurdish communities.
