ERBIL (Kurdistan24) - The Kurdistan24 Research and Media Foundation marked the 11th anniversary of its broadcast launch with a statement renewing its commitment to accuracy, human dignity, hope and public awareness. It said it will remain “a serious, truthful, patriotic, and pioneering institution” serving the people of Kurdistan at home and abroad.

Statement by the Kurdistan24 Research and Media Foundation on the 11th Anniversary of its Broadcast Launch
Eleven years ago, the Kurdistan24 Research and Media Foundation entered the landscape of Kurdish journalism at a historic and decisive crossroads.
At a time when the people of Kurdistan and the Peshmerga forces were locked in an existential battle against the dark forces of ISIS, Kurdistan24 stepped forward in the spirit of the Peshmerga onto the frontlines of defense, serving as a shield to protect Kurdistan’s land, people, national wealth, and natural heritage.
From its very inception, this institution chose gravitas and national responsibility over the cheap chase for transient clicks and views.
Today, on the eleventh anniversary of the launch of Kurdistan24’s broadcasts, we reflect on the journey of an institution founded upon scientific research and professional journalism.
It has become an authentic voice for patriotism, the Kurdistani ethos, the culture of coexistence, the vision of state-building, and a steadfast defender of the constitutional status of the Kurdistan Region.
Through fluent and refined Kurdish, alongside five of the world’s major languages, Kurdistan24 has succeeded in serving as the rightful voice of the people of Kurdistan—encompassing all ethnic and religious communities both at home and across the diaspora—while establishing itself as a credible bridge between Kurdistan and the wider world.
Above all, this anniversary is a moment of loyalty and profound respect to the dedicated trailblazers who laid the foundation of this institution and labored tirelessly to uncover the truth and advance our media mission.
It is equally an expression of praise and gratitude to all staff members and the new generation of young journalists who, driven by the same patriotic conviction and vigor, continue this mission and uphold the stature and integrity of Kurdistan24.
Kurdistan24 does not view its eleven-year journey as the culmination of its aspirations, but rather as a solid foundation upon which to build an even more advanced phase.
