ERBIL (Kurdistan 24) - The Iraqi Operations Command announced on Thursday the seizure of four illegal warehouses in northern Baghdad, filled with curriculum books stolen from the Iraqi Ministry of Education.

According to a statement from the Operations Command, the operation was part of a security plan driven by intelligence information aimed at cracking down on criminal activities.

"A force from the Fifth Division of the Federal Police, in coordination with Baghdad intelligence units and representatives of the Ministry of Education, successfully seized four illegal warehouses in northern Baghdad," the statement said.

The seized warehouses were found to be stocked with curriculum books belonging to the Iraqi Ministry of Education, which had been stolen from the ministry's official storage facilities. The stolen books were allegedly intended to be sold abroad on the black market.

While the Iraqi Operations Command confirmed the seizure of the warehouses and the recovery of the stolen books, no information was provided regarding the arrest of suspects involved in the theft.
