Iraqi CTS says will continue fighting terrorists, teach ISIS a 'lesson'
ERBIL (Kurdistan 24) – The Iraqi Counter-Terrorism Service said on Sunday that its elite forces have "eliminated" 343 ISIS fighters over the past two years and reaffirmed its commitment to rooting out militant elements in the country.
The statement comes after sophisticated ISIS operations in both Iraq and Syria almost simultaneously led to dozens of deaths among members of the Iraqi security forces and the Kurdish-led, US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF).

In a statement, the Iraqi Counter-Terrorism Service affirmed its full readiness to "confront any imminent danger in Iraq," noting that "the enemy's attempt to intimidate" the public would not succeed.
The force also added that it would "defeat terrorism" and teach ISIS a "lesson," noting that the Counter-Terrorism Service, since 2020, had killed 343 members of the terror group, captured 622 others, and destroyed 442 of their hideouts.
