Two people injured in Turkish drone strike in Kobani: SOHR
Two people were injured by a Turkish drone strike in Kobani on Monday morning.
ERBIL (Kurdistan 24) – Two people were injured by a Turkish drone strike in Kobani on Monday morning, the UK-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) reports.
The drone hit a construction company in Kobani. Ambulances rushed to transport the injured to the hospital.
Moreover, there are also reports of a drone strike in the Alaya neighbourhood in Qamishlo.
According to the most recent data update from SOHR, Turkey has executed 107 drone strikes since the beginning of 2023, leading to 86 deaths, and injuring another 97 persons.
Turkish jets on Saturday evening also targeted several oil sites in northeastern Syria near Derik and Qamishlo.
The new strikes come after the Turkish Defense Ministry reported on Saturday that six more Turkish soldiers were killed in the ongoing conflict with the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK), equaling a total of 12 Turkish soldier deaths in a 48-hour period.
