ERBIL (Kurdistan24) - Kurdistan Region’s Prime Minister Masrour Barzani emphasized that while the Kurdistan Region has fulfilled all its responsibilities, it is now Iraq's turn to meet its obligations.

Prime Minister Barzani announced that the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) will hold a meeting in Baghdad next week to discuss the critical issue of oil exports.

"The meetings we have had with the Iraqi political parties have all been positive and will be promising, God willing, and I hope we can announce good efforts to our citizens," stated Barzani.

He highlighted that all officials they met with expressed support for resolving ongoing issues, and effective mechanisms have been established to address the remaining concerns.

Barzani also reiterated the KRG's efforts to keep the salary issue separate from political disputes. "We have made every effort to prevent Baghdad from mixing the salary issue with political issues," he affirmed.

Khamis al-Khanjar, leader of the Sunni Sovereignty Alliance, underscored the importance of Prime Minister Barzani's visit to Baghdad, predicting that all issues will be resolved in the next few days.

Following their meeting, al-Khanjar told reporters that they discussed the relations between Erbil and Baghdad, the issue of salaries, and the Development Road Project passing through the Kurdistan Region.

"Another important issue we discussed was the re-export of oil through Turkey and the port of Ceyhan," al-Khanjar added.

He emphasized that the visit of Kurdistan Region's Prime Minister to Baghdad is pivotal for resolving issues and problems.

He also noted the importance of the Kurdistan Region's President's visit in removing obstacles and creating a favorable environment for further understanding.

"Most of the problems have been resolved and others will be resolved in the next few days," reaffirmed al-Khanjar.
