11 Iraqi cities record highest temperatures globally in past 24 hours

ERBIL (Kurdistan 24) – In the past 24 hours, 11 Iraqi cities have been listed among the 15 places with the highest recorded temperatures in the world according to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA).
According to the data, the four cities with the highest temperatures recorded in the past 24 hours are all in Iraq, with Amarah topping the list at 50.8 degrees Celsius. Nasiriyah, Basra, and Kut followed in second, third, and fourth places, respectively.
A Kuwaiti city and an Iranian city ranked fifth and sixth, followed by Karbala in seventh and Samawa in ninth.
Basra Airport recorded the 11th highest temperature, Najaf the 12th, Ali al-Gharbi the 13th, Badrah in Wasit the 14th, and al-Rafaei of Nasiriyah the 15th.
