Fire at battery factory in southern Seoul leaves one dead, 21 missing

ERBIL (Kurdistan 24) – At least 21 people are missing and one person is confirmed dead following a fire at a battery factory in southern Seoul on Monday, firefighters reported.
The fire broke out at the Aricell lithium battery factory in Hwaseong-si. Firefighters stated that one worker died, another was seriously injured, and two others sustained minor injuries.
At least 21 workers remain trapped inside the building.
The cause of the fire, which started in the three-story building covering approximately 2,300 square meters, is still unknown.
The rapid spread of the fire, fueled by battery cells, has hindered firefighters' efforts to enter the building and search for those trapped inside, according to the Hwaseong-si fire station.
There were 67 workers at the factory when the fire broke out, with 21 still missing and the death toll feared to rise.
