PM Barzani receives Halabja Provincial Support Council
During the meeting, Prime Minister Barzani stressed that serving the whole of Kurdistan, especially Halabja, as a symbol of the Kurdish people's sacrifices, is our main duty.

ERBIL (Kurdistan24) – Kurdistan Region Prime Minister Masrour Barzani on Wednesday received the Halabja Provincial Support Council in Erbil.
The delegation briefed the Prime Minister on the objectives of the establishment of the Halabja Provincial Support Council and also presented several demands to better serve the people of Halabja province.
They said that the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) decided to make Halabja a province on the recommendation of Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) President Masoud Barzani.
The delegation also expressed their gratitude to the premier for issuing several decisions in the interest of the people of Halabja during his last visit to Halabja.
During the meeting, Prime Minister Barzani stressed that serving the whole of Kurdistan, especially Halabja, as a symbol of the Kurdish people's sacrifices, is our main duty.
The Prime Minister also emphasized that they are constantly in contact with the Iraqi government and the House of Representatives to make sure the procedures for becoming a province are completed, which is the people of Halabja's legitimate right.
