Erbil Governor Omed Khoshnaw meets with Turkish delegation to strengthen economic ties
Erbil Governor Khoshnaw welcomed the delegation, highlighting the robust political relations between the Kurdistan Region and Turkey, which have significantly boosted trade and economic activities between the two regions.
ERBIL (Kurdistan24) – On Thursday, the Governor of Erbil, Omid Khoshnaw, hosted a delegation led by Necdet Takva, Chairman of the Board of Van Chamber of Commerce and Industry, along with Gailan Saeed Azeez, President of the Erbil Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and several businessmen and chamber members.
Governor Khoshnaw welcomed the delegation, highlighting the robust political relations between the Kurdistan Region and Turkey, which have significantly boosted trade and economic activities between the two regions.
He emphasized the importance of further developing these relations and expressed his commitment to coordinating with the Van Governorate at all levels.
Khoshnaw noted that numerous Turkish companies operate in various sectors within the Kurdistan Region, and full facilities have been provided to support their activities.
The meeting focused on intensifying efforts to strengthen ties between the Erbil and Van Chambers of Commerce and Industry.
Governor Khoshnaw mentioned future plans to enhance the tourism sector between the two governorates, viewing it as a critical avenue for economic development and market strengthening.
Mr. Necdet Takva expressed his gratitude for the warm reception and reiterated the importance of reinforcing relations between the two sides.
He invited Governor Khoshnaw to attend the Van Chamber of Commerce and Industry exhibition scheduled for September. Takva highlighted Van's progress in tourism, trade, culture, industry, and livestock raising, recognizing Erbil as a vital economic hub in the region. He emphasized the potential for exchanging ideas and fostering collaboration among businessmen from both areas.
