KDP President Masoud Barzani, Iraqi PMF leader discuss maintaining stability in the region

ERBIL (Kurdistan24) – Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) President Masoud Barzani on Saturday discussed maintaining stability in the region with Falih al-Fayyadh, Chairman of the Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) Committee, in Erbil’s Pirmam district, according to a statement from Barzani Headquarters.

Furthermore, the meeting focused on the coordination and relations between the Iraqi political parties and efforts to maintain stability.
PMF is an Iraqi state-sponsored umbrella organization composed of various paramilitary groups. They were formed in 2014 to combat the threat of ISIS and have played a crucial role in the fight against the terrorist group. The PMF has been instrumental in liberating territories from ISIS control and has also been involved in providing security and stability in post-conflict areas.
