ERBIL (Kurdistan 24) – Kurdistan Region President Nechirvan Barzani has extended his congratulations to Masoud Pezeshkian on his recent election as the new President of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
In a message, President Barzani wrote, "On behalf of myself and the people of Kurdistan, I congratulate Mr. Masoud Pezeshkian on his election as President of the Islamic Republic of Iran and wish him every success."
Barzani further emphasized the importance of bilateral relations, stating, "In the Kurdistan Region and Iraq, we look forward to developing long-standing friendly relations and continuing joint cooperation with the Islamic Republic of Iran on the basis of common interests and good neighborliness."
