Iraqi parliament to discuss four key legislative amendments

ERBIL (Kurdistan24) - The Iraqi parliament is set to convene today to discuss several significant legislative topics, including a crucial law on compensating victims of the former regime.
The session, which marks the second meeting of the second legislative term, will begin at 11:00 AM on Sunday.
According to the agenda released by the parliament's press office, the session will open with the committees on economy, industry, trade, investment, development, legal, and finance reading the first amendment to Article 16 of the economic reform bill.
The second item on the agenda involves the Health and Environment Committee, which will conduct the first reading of the amendment to Article 2 of the National Supervisory Board for Nuclear, Chemical, and Biological Radiation Law No. 1 of 2024.
Following this, the Finance, Legal, Investment, and Development Committees will present the first reading of a bill concerning investment checks for Islamic banks.
