Iran’s Ghalibaf Backs China’s Push for Regional Security
Iran’s parliament speaker says regional countries should determine their own future and rely on a new regional security system, expressing Tehran’s full readiness to participate.
ERBIL (Kurdistan24) - Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf has welcomed China’s position on strengthening collective security, saying regional countries should take control of their own future and rely on a regional security system.
In a message posted Friday, on his official X account, Ghalibaf outlined Tehran’s position on regional security cooperation and expressed Iran’s full readiness to take part in such efforts.
“China’s insistence on strengthening collective security reflects the principle that Iran has long defended and advocated for,” Ghalibaf wrote.
He said regional countries should determine their future themselves, arguing that genuine stability can only be achieved through the creation of a new indigenous and regional security architecture.
“For this purpose, Iran is fully prepared,” Ghalibaf said.
