ERBIL (Kurdistan24) — On Friday, Falih al-Fayyadh, Chairman of the Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) Committee, firmly stated that Nineveh province faces no security threats and assured the public that efforts are in place to prevent any resurgence of terrorism in Iraq.
"There is no security threat in Nineveh province, and we will not allow Iraq to return to the era of terrorism," al-Fayyadh declared.
In his address at a rally in Nineveh, al-Fayyadh emphasized the commitment of the PMF and other security forces to safeguard Iraq's stability. "We have promised armed forces commander Mohammed Shia Sudani to protect Iraq like a dam," he said.
Al-Fayyadh stressed the importance of maintaining the trust of Iraqi citizens. "They will stand alongside other security forces and armed forces, ensuring they do not lose the trust of citizens and will not allow Iraq to return to the era of terrorism," he asserted.
The rally highlighted the ongoing efforts of the PMF and other security agencies to bolster Iraq's defenses and prevent any destabilizing threats.
