International Gateway Haji Omaran operates as usual

After about 15 days of suspending transporting, by personal vehicles, through Haji Omeran International Gateway, it’s now reopened as the normal daily operation.

ERBIL, Kurdistan Region (Kurdistan 24) – It was announced by the International Gateway Directorate, Haji Omaran on Monday A1ugust 26th, the gateway is operating as usual for who travel by their own personal vehicles.

Haji Omaran’s International Gateway locates on the border of the Kurdistan Region that facilitates tourism and business between the region and Iran. Transportation by personal vehicles were on hold due to Mnuharram month.

The announcement explained that who want to visit the Kurdistan Region or Islamic Republic of Iran by their personal vehicles, the gateway operates as usual.

About 15 days, transporting, by personal vehicles, was on hold through Haji Omaran International Gateway, but it’s now reopened as the usual daily operation.

On August 10th, 2024, transportation by coaches, mini-buses and personal vehicles were suspended due to the arrival of Iranian pilgrims.

Annually, Shiites pilgrims participate in the 40th anniversary of Imam Hussein.

According to statistics, more than 70,000 pilgrims entered Kurdistan Region through Haji Omeran and Pashmakh gates to participate in the 40th anniversary of Imam Hussein.
