Israel declares Nasrallah dead, Israel's Chief of Staff vows no enemy is beyond reach
"This is not the end of our toolbox," Lieutenant General Halevi stated. "The message is simple, anyone who threatens the citizens of Israel -- we will know how to reach them."

ERBIL (Kurdistan24) – Chief of the General Staff of the Israel Defense Forces, Lieutenant General Herzi Halevi, vowed on Saturday to "reach" anyone who threatens Israeli citizens, following the announcement that Hezbollah Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah had been killed in a targeted raid on Beirut’s southern suburbs on Friday.
"This is not the end of our toolbox," Lieutenant General Halevi stated. "The message is simple, anyone who threatens the citizens of Israel -- we will know how to reach them."
According to Halevi, the operation, which struck the southern suburb of Beirut, had been carefully planned for some time.
"This attack was prepared for a long time, executed at the right moment with great precision, and now we are moving forward with careful preparation for the next steps," he said.
"Ultimately, I want to emphasise again that we are at full readiness in all of our fronts. All forces, including coordination with other organisations, must ensure very good synchronization and readiness," he added.
The Israeli army officially announced that Nasrallah had been killed during the raid, which targeted Hezbollah's central headquarters.
While Hezbollah has yet to issue any formal statement on Nasrallah’s fate, a source close to the group indicated that contact with the Secretary-General had been lost since Friday evening.
The source, who preferred to remain anonymous, declined to confirm Nasrallah’s death but acknowledged that communication with him had been severed since the raid.
"Hassan Nasrallah was killed," Israeli army spokesman Lieutenant Colonel Nadav Shoshani said in a statement on the X platform.
The news was further confirmed by army spokesman Captain David Abraham, who told AFP that the Hezbollah leader had been "eliminated."
