IHEC reports 26 violations, 39 complaints amid ongoing monitoring of campaigns

ERBIL (Kurdistan24) — The Iraqi Independent High Electoral Commission (IHEC) has reported a total of 26 violations and 39 complaints filed through sub-committees across various offices.
Jumana al-Ghalai, a spokeswoman for IHEC, provided this update during a statement on Saturday.
Ghalai clarified, "The number of violations received by the central committee through the sub-committees in the offices currently stands at 26." Additionally, she noted, "The number of complaints submitted to the election commission has reached 39 so far."

He also emphasized the importance of biometric security, asserting, "No one can use another person's biometric card; only the designated voters are permitted to cast their votes with their own cards."
As the election approaches, IHEC's vigilant oversight aims to ensure a fair and transparent electoral process.
