ERBIL (Kurdistan24) - In a military operation in northern Syria, Turkish forces conducted a series of coordinated airstrikes across multiple Kurdish-controlled areas on Wednesday night, resulting in civilian casualties and infrastructure damage.
The attacks targeted several strategic locations across Western Kurdistan (Rojava), including:
•    Tel Rifaat township
•    Areas surrounding Tel Tamir
•    Manbij
•    Kobani
•    Derik
•    Qamishlo
According to media sources affiliated with the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), the most severe impact was recorded in Tel Rifaat, where 12 people were killed and 15 others wounded.
The attacks also struck critical civilian infrastructure, including a hospital in Qamishlo that resulted in 10 casualties.

In a separate incident, a gas facility near Derik was targeted, leaving one worker injured. Additional casualties were reported in Kobani.
These strikes represent the latest episode in Turkey's ongoing military campaign in northern Syria, which began several years ago.

Turkey considers some Kurdish groups in the region as security threats, particularly those affiliated with the SDF, which it views as connected to the PKK.
However, these Kurdish forces have been crucial allies in the international coalition against ISIS and maintain de facto control over much of northern Syria.
