Certain rules to be aware after election, before first parliamentary debate held
IHERC's Director General further reiterates “if a party does not want to participate in the process, its members should submit a collective memorandum to the commission”

ERBIL, Kurdistan Region (Kurdistan 24) – The Director General at the Kurdistan Region Independent High Elections and Referendum Commission (IHERC)’s Data and Information, Karwan Jalal, was interviewed by Kurdistan 24 on Sunday, he pointed out some important rules following an election in the Kurdistan Region.
Jalal stated in the interview “any party that does not want to enter the parliamentary governing, they must submit a written request “memorandum” to the Elections Commission in advance”
He highlighted that the commission ran a successful election, and is commendable, however, despite of existing some flaws, have been mentioned and discussed.
“But that does not mean to reduce the value of the election, it is for the commission learn in the future elections and sort out those notes” He added
In a response to an enquiry regarding any elections whether held in Kurdistan Region or Iraq, he explained that following any elections, an important stage will start, the comments and lessons learned from the elections will further be discussed.
“What is important is in the first parliamentary debate, a period will be identified for the members of the parliament (MPs) to take the oath.
According to his word, if an MP is not present during that period, they will lose the membership right, others can take the position up.
He further reiterates “if a party does not want to participate in the process, its members should submit a collective memorandum to the commission”
