ERBIL (Kurdistan24) - Residents of Iraq's Anbar Province expressed frustration as flash floods paralyzed traffic in several areas of Ramadi city, according to a report by Sumaria News early Saturday morning.

Photos published by the news outlet show several secondary streets submerged in the city's al-Jamiya district, highlighting the area's inadequate infrastructure.

Civil Defense teams are currently working to normalize traffic flow in the affected areas.

The flooding comes as a striking contrast to Iraq's typically arid conditions, where annual rainfall remains among the lowest in the region, underscoring concerns about the country's urban infrastructure and its ability to handle even modest rainfall.
