ERBIL (Kurdistan24) - Kurdistan Region Prime Minister Masrour Barzani expressed his satisfaction with Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani's visit to the Kurdistan Region in a post on X (formerly Twitter) on Wednesday morning.

According to PM Masrour Barzani's statement, important matters relating to the Kurdistan Region's financial entitlements, the general population census, security, energy, and economic development will be discussed.

"Our agenda: budgetary payments, census, regional security, and economic growth," the statement read.

The Iraqi Prime Minister arrived at Erbil International Airport at 09:00 AM on Wednesday, where Prime Minister Masrour Barzani personally received him.

This high-level meeting comes at a crucial time as both governments work to address several outstanding issues. The discussions on financial entitlements are particularly significant given recent challenges with budget transfers from Baghdad to Erbil.

The upcoming national census, energy sector cooperation, and economic development represent key areas where both governments seek to strengthen their coordination and resolve ongoing challenges in federal-regional relations.
