MHP leader asked DEM party to meet with Öcalan

ERBIL, Kurdistan Region (Kurdistan 24) – In an announcement, on Tuesday, November 26th, 2024, the Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) Leader, Devlet Bahçeli, called for the release of imprisoned PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan.
Nearly one month ago, Bahçeli suggested to his party faction “in order to eradicate terrorism, Abdullah Öcalan, the imprisoned PKK leader, can be released and brought to the parliament to declare PKK’s disarming and abolishing”

Bahçeli also stated "we are waiting for the DEM party without delay to visit Imrali and meet with Öcalan”.
