PM Barzani meets Bahrain's King Hamad bin Isa al-Khalifa
In a statement issued by the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG), King Hamad praised the Kurdistan Region for its achievements in fostering progress, prosperity, peace, and coexistence under the leadership of President Masoud Barzani.
ERBIL (Kurdistan24) – Kurdistan Region Prime Minister Masrour Barzani on Tuesday held a high-level meeting with King Hamad bin Isa al-Khalifa at the Safriya Palace in Manama, signaling a new chapter in the strengthening of ties between the Kurdistan Region and Bahrain.
In a statement issued by the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG), King Hamad praised the Kurdistan Region for its achievements in fostering progress, prosperity, peace, and coexistence under the leadership of President Masoud Barzani. The monarch also expressed Bahrain's readiness to support the Kurdistan Region in various sectors.
Prime Minister Barzani expressed his gratitude for Bahrain's continued cooperation, emphasizing the importance of deepening bilateral relations.
According to the KRG statement, both leaders agreed on key initiatives, including the opening of a Bahraini consulate in the Kurdistan Region and the resumption of direct flights between Manama and Erbil.
Discussions also covered regional developments, particularly the latest situation in Syria. The meeting was attended by Bahrain's National Security Advisor Nasser bin Hamad al-Khalifa and several Bahraini ministers, underlining the high-level nature of the talks.
The meeting highlights growing regional collaboration and Bahrain’s interest in strengthening its presence and cooperation with the Kurdistan Region.
