KRG High-level officials arrive in Baghdad
A high-level delegation of the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) is in Baghdad to discuss three issues with the Iraqi Finance Minister.

ERBIL, Kurdistan Region (Kurdistan 24) – The high-raking officials from the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) arrived in Baghdad on Sunday morning.
The Spokesperson at the Ministry of Finance and Economy of the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG), Hunar Jamal stated to Kurdistan 24, on Saturday December 14th, 2024, "the aim of the visit is to resolve the issue of salaries for the three months of October, November and December"

According to Jamal's statement, the meeting with the Iraqi officials that led by Iraqi Finance Minister, Taif Sami, is to start at 10:00 a.m. (KRG/ Iraqi local time), and the discussions cover crucial financial matters between both states.
The KRG delegation are formed of the Minister of Finance and Economy Awat Janab Nuri who leads the delegation, Dr. Omed Sabah, the Office (Diwan) Chief at the Council of Ministers of KRG, Dr. Amanj Rahim, the Administerial Secretary at the Council of Ministers of the KRG, Dr. Abdulkarim Khusraw, the Head of the Coordination and Follow-Up Office, Faris Isa, KRG's Representative to Baghdad alongside with a number of consultants and advisors at the Ministry of Finance and Economy.
The KRG Prime Minister, Masrour Barzani chaired a meeting for the Council of Ministers on Wednesday, Dec. 11, 2024, conferring on providing accurate salaries and financial entitlements to the Kurdistan Region, and in this regard, it is expected the federal government to transfer the full financial entitlements for the months of October, November and December.
