SDF Commander-in-chief continues to talk to international media outlets
Abdi emphasized that SDF will not be a threat to Turkey's national security, beside withdrawing the forces from Kobanê to further reassure Turkey, he also confirmed that in Kobanê, the local security forces are now protecting that area.

ERBIL, Kurdistan Region (Kurdistan 24) – In one of the latest interviews with the international media networks, Mazloum Abdi, the Commander-in-chief of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) stressed that Turkish state considered SDF as threats to its country's security, in return Turkish forces attacked Kobane region.
"For that purpose, we had a proposal, we put our suggestion forwarded, and that is to achieve a ceasefire agreement, by withdrawing our forces and getting replaced with the internal security forces" Abdi stated "we want American forces to supervise, also we need an international guarantee to make the ceasefire lasts, we want to respond to Turkish concerns in theses respects"
In one of the frequent questions Abdi was asked regarding the unity and independency, he said "we want to be a part of Syria, where we exist, we want to represent those provinces, as well as with our forces to take part in the political process and in rebuilding the new Syria"
Concerning the new authority in Damascus, he highlighted that "So far, the positions by the new Damascus administration are positive, and we look at their positions positively, but now, we are in a war circumstance, however, we don't have any conflicts with the HTS, we need to arrange and start negotiations for the sake of future, for such purpose we are ready to set negotiations soon”
He added in his explanation, "for the sake of convincing Turkey, the forces withdrew from Kobanê, yet asked the residents in the city to hold weapons in case of any sudden attacks because now Kobanê is at risk, we hope people respond to calls and fight back if any attacks on occurred in their city,"
He further stressed that Turkey continues its attacks on the areas under SDF's control, and it's approaching Kobanê, especially on the banks of the Euphrates River and the border of the town of Manbij.
