KNCS calls for unified Kurdish delegation in Damascus talks following meeting with SDF
The KNCS spokesperson described the discussions as occurring in a “positive atmosphere.”

ERBIL (Kurdistan24) – The Kurdish National Council in Syria (KNCS) has emphasized unity in representing Kurdish interests in future negotiations with the Syrian government, according to Faysal Yusuf, the council’s spokesperson.
Speaking to Kurdistan24 on Monday, Yusuf stated, “We want the Kurds to go to Damascus with one delegation and one voice and work for the Kurds to play a role in the future of Syria.”
His remarks followed a meeting between the KNCS and the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), which was held with the participation of the international coalition. The KNCS spokesperson described the discussions as occurring in a “positive atmosphere.”
The meeting addressed regional security concerns, including the presence of the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) in northeastern Syria (Rojava) and Turkey’s sensitivities regarding the region. Yusuf noted that the two sides agreed to establish a mechanism aimed at countering potential threats and promoting stability.
