CENTCOM Forces Kill ISIS Operatives

According to that message the CENTCOM announced that they carried out an airstrike, in the northeast of Syria (Rojava), aiming precisely a truckload of weapons in Deir ez-Zor Province.

ERBIL, Kurdistan Region (Kurdistan 24) – On Tuesday, December 24th, 2024, through posting a message on X platform, CENTCOM forces reaffirmed their commitment, highlighting the allies and partner's assistance too, in the region, to continue fighting against the terrorism. 

According to that message the CENTCOM announced they carried out an airstrike, in the northeast of Syria (Rojava), aiming precisely a truckload of weapons in Deir ez-Zor Province. 

The Iraqi media outlet passed on the Iraqi Security Force's statement, referring to that airstrike, in which an important ISIS member was killed by the US-Led forces, in Deir ez-Zor, who was called Abu Wahab al-Iraqi, it's believed that he used to be a senior leader in the terrorist organization ISIS.

According to the same sources, Al-Iraqi worked as a head of the ISIS intelligence, in Deir ez-Zor, for seven years, and believed to have had a major role in the organization's attack on Nineveh city, in Iraq. 

 

On Friday, December 20th, 2024, the CENTCOM commander, Gen. Michael Erik Kurilla affirmed an attack conducted and killed an ISIS leader called Abu Yusif.
