ERBIL (Kurdistan24) —A delegation from the People’s Democratic and Equality Party (DEM Party) has initiated a series of high-level meetings on Tuesday to brief political parties on their recent discussions with Abdullah Ocalan, the imprisoned leader of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK).

As stated by an official statement, the DEM Party delegation, comprising Sırrı Süreyya Önder, Ahmet Türk, and Pervin Buldan, has scheduled meetings with multiple parliamentary factions throughout the day.

The delegation's schedule consists of a morning session with the Republican People's Party (CHP), where they will meet with Özgür Özel.

Afterward, they are set to meet with DEVA Party leader Ali Babacan at 1:00 PM, followed by an afternoon meeting with Yeniden Refah Party chairman Fatih Erbakan at 3:30 PM.

This diplomatic initiative comes after the delegation's latest meetings with MHP leader Devlet Bahçeli, Future Party chairman Ahmet Davutoğlu, and representatives from the AK Party and Saadet parliamentary groups.

The parliamentary agenda this week focuses on the Kurdish question and the potential start of a new peace process.

The DEM Party delegation intends to establish extensive parliamentary consensus by briefing all political factions on their discussions.

These meetings signify an important development in Turkey's approach to the Kurdish issue.

The DEM Party's role as an intermediary between several political actors and Ocalan marks a noticeable change in Turkish domestic politics.

The participation of multiple parliamentary parties in these discussions shows a possibly broader political engagement with the Kurdish question than in previous years.
