ERBIL (Kurdistan24) – Regional meteorological expert Mohammed Kamal has forecast a noteworthy weather system to impact the Kurdistan Region by mid-January, bringing varied precipitation patterns across different elevations.
"A light to moderate rainfall system is likely to reach the Kurdistan Region beginning Jan. 13, 2025, with snowfall expected in mountainous areas," Kamal told Kurdistan24 in a detailed weather briefing on Wednesday.
The meteorological estimation highlights favorable conditions for subsequent precipitation systems in the coming days, suggesting a likely change in the region's winter weather patterns.
Temperature forecasts predict a four-degree decrease, accompanied by wind velocities reaching 16 kilometers per hour.
