ERBIL (Kurdistan24) – President of the Kurdistan Region Nechirvan Barzani met with Judge Faiq Zidan, President of Iraq's Supreme Judicial Council, on Monday evening to discuss the judiciary's role in addressing Iraq's challenges, including securing the financial rights of the Kurdistan Region.
The meeting, part of the Regional President's ongoing engagements in Baghdad, centered on Iraq’s political and legal landscape.
The two sides exchanged views on the judiciary's crucial role in solving national disputes, particularly issues between the federal government and the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG).

Recognizing the judiciary's previous contributions, KRP Nechirvan Barzani expressed gratitude for its support in organizing the Kurdistan parliamentary elections and commended Iraq's Independent High Electoral Commission for its efforts.
