PM Barzani, UAE Minister of Cabinet Affairs sign MoU

The agreement aims to boost cooperation between the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) and the United Arab Emirates (UAE), focusing on governance development, human resources, and digitization.

ERBIL (Kurdistan24) – In a significant step toward enhancing governance and modernization, Kurdistan Region Prime Minister Masrour Barzani signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Mohammad al-Gergawi, the UAE’s Minister of Cabinet Affairs, on Wednesday in Dubai.  

The agreement aims to boost cooperation between the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) and the United Arab Emirates (UAE), focusing on governance development, human resources, and digitization. Under the MoU, the UAE will share its expertise and successful experiences in modernizing government operations and digital transformation.  

This latest partnership builds upon a previous MoU signed on March 29, 2022, which laid the groundwork for information exchange and collaboration in governance. The renewed commitment signals strong and growing ties between the Kurdistan Region and the UAE, paving the way for enhanced public services and government efficiency.  

This strategic collaboration reflects a shared vision for progress and innovation in governance, ensuring long-term benefits for both regions.
