President Masoud Barzani, Iraqi Parliament Speaker emphasize cooperation at Erbil meeting

ERBIL (Kurdistan24) – President Masoud Barzani met with Iraqi Parliament Speaker Mahmoud al-Mashhadani on Wednesday in Erbil's Pirmam district. The discussions underscored the vital role of coordination among political parties in addressing key challenges facing the country.

According to a statement from Barzani's headquarters, the meeting focused on the latest political and security developments, as well as the ongoing relationship between the Kurdistan Regional Government and the Federal Government of Iraq.

Both leaders reaffirmed the importance of unity and cooperation in navigating political and security challenges effectively. Their discussions highlighted their shared commitment to fostering stability and progress through dialogue and collaboration among all political entities.

This meeting marks another positive step in promoting constructive engagement between the Kurdistan Region and Baghdad, reinforcing efforts to tackle pressing issues through partnership and mutual understanding.

Earlier, President Barzani met with Iraqi President Abdul Latif Rashid, in which they discussed numerous outstanding issues.
