Kurdistan Interior Ministry Team Joins International Civil Defense Exercise in Poland

ERBIL (Kurdistan24) – A team from the Kurdistan Region's Ministry of Interior participated in an international civil defense training exercise held in Poland, aimed at improving disaster response and rescue operations during crises, Kurdistan Region’s Ministry of Interior announced on Saturday.
The event took place from April 1 to April 4, 2025, as part of a collaborative effort between Germany’s Interior Ministry – the German Federal Agency for Technical Assistance (THW), and the Kurdistan Regional Government’s Ministry of Interior – the Crisis Coordination Joint Center.
During the three-day training, the team from the Kurdistan Ministry of Interior worked alongside various international participants to explore innovative new strategies and technologies for rescuing civilians and responding to disasters.
The event focused on using advanced technological tools and hands-on techniques to enhance the efficiency of civil defense operations in emergencies.
In total, several international teams participated, all operating according to new global standards, with an emphasis on strengthening civil defense and enhancing the capabilities of emergency responders in crisis situations.
