PM Barzani, Prominent Kurdish Intellectual discuss Boosting Cultural Development

ERBIL (Kurdistan24) — Kurdistan Region Prime Minister Masrour Barzani met on Tuesday with renowned Kurdish writer and intellectual Fuad Majeed Misri to discuss ways to strengthen the Region’s cultural and literary landscape, according to a statement from the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG).

The meeting underscored the KRG’s commitment to promoting cultural, literary, and artistic initiatives. Both sides emphasized the vital role of writers, artists, and intellectuals in preserving and advancing the Kurdish language, literature, and heritage.

Prime Minister Barzani affirmed his government’s support for fostering creativity and innovation in the cultural sector, stressing the need to empower intellectuals to contribute more actively to society and artistic progress.
