In a statement shared on Facebook, Civil Aviation Authority Chief Bangin Rekani confirmed that Basra Airport has officially reopened. All travel agencies have been instructed to coordinate return flights for Iraqi nationals currently abroad.

Rekani stated that Iraqi Airways has been directed to prioritize inbound flights to Basra, aiming to ensure the safe return of citizens affected by recent regional unrest.
