Kurdish Dentist Named Among Top 100 Doctors Worldwide in 2025
Dr. Fouad Surji, a dentist from Kurdistan, was named among the "Top 100 Doctors in the World" for 2025 by the Global Summit Institute. The youngest honoree, he was selected for his clinical excellence, research, and education contributions, highlighting Kurdistan’s medical progress globally.

Erbil (Kurdistan 24) – Dr. Fouad Surji, a dentist from the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, has been officially recognized as one of the "Top 100 Doctors in the World" for 2025 by the Global Summit Institute, highlighting his professional achievements on a global scale.
Selected from thousands of medical professionals and experts representing more than 150 countries, Dr. Surji’s inclusion marks a significant milestone, as he is the youngest doctor among the honorees. The selection process is based on rigorous criteria, including professional competence, research excellence, community service, and active participation in medical education and training.
At the event announcing the selected individuals, Dr. Surji delivered a scientific seminar and showcased an overview of Erbil Citadel to the international jury and attending medical experts. This presentation aimed to introduce the Kurdistan Region to a global medical audience and elevate its profile in international forums.
Speaking to Kurdistan24, Dr. Surji stated, “This participation contributes to exporting the region’s educational and medical experience and creating a role model for future generations, in addition to enhancing Kurdistan’s presence on the international stage.”
