CENTCOM reported over 12,300 targets struck and 13,000 combat flights in one month of Operation Epic Fury, alongside extensive deployment of US air, sea, and land assets.
ERBIL (Kurdistan24) - A sweeping escalation in military operations has been laid bare, as US Central Command unveiled detailed figures from the first month of its campaign against Iran, highlighting an unprecedented tempo of strikes and strategic targeting.
On Wednesday, US Central Command (CENTCOM) released a new report on Operation Epic Fury, confirming that the campaign began on Feb. 28, 2026 at 1:15 a.m., under the direction of the President of the United States. The operation, according to the report, is aimed at dismantling the Iranian regime’s security apparatus, with priority given to targets deemed an imminent threat.
The data shows a significant intensification of air operations, with more than 12,300 strategic targets struck within one month. In parallel, over 13,000 combat flights have been conducted, underscoring the scale and persistence of the campaign.
CENTCOM further reported that more than 155 Iranian naval vessels have been damaged or destroyed, indicating substantial degradation of Iran’s maritime capabilities.
The report detailed the categories of targets engaged during the operation, including command and control centers, IRGC headquarters buildings, intelligence sites, and integrated air defense systems. Additional targets included ballistic missile sites, Iranian navy ships and submarines, anti-ship missile positions, and military communication capabilities. Facilities linked to ballistic missile and drone manufacturing, as well as weapons production and storage bunkers, were also among the objectives. Surface-to-air missile facilities and broader military support infrastructure were likewise struck.
Alongside the operational data, CENTCOM outlined the range of US military assets deployed across air, sea, and land domains. Air operations have involved a wide array of platforms, including B-1, B-2, and B-52 bombers, alongside fighter jets such as F-18, F-22, F-35, F-16, and F-15. Attack and support aircraft, including A-10 jets, EA-18G and EC-130H electronic warfare aircraft, as well as reconnaissance platforms like U-2 and RC-135, have also been utilized. Additional capabilities include communications aircraft, cargo planes, refueling tankers, and rotary-wing assets such as Apache and Sea Hawk helicopters, in addition to V-22 Osprey aircraft and airborne early warning systems.
Unmanned systems have played a role as well, with surveillance and attack drones, alongside one-way attack drones, contributing to operations.
At sea, the deployment includes nuclear-powered aircraft carriers and submarines, guided-missile destroyers, and logistical support vessels, in addition to amphibious assault and transport ships.
On land, the operation has relied on advanced systems such as Patriot interceptor missiles, THAAD anti-ballistic missile systems, high mobility artillery rocket systems, and counter-drone technologies.
The report underscores the breadth and intensity of the ongoing campaign, reflecting a coordinated, multi-domain military effort across the region.
