President Barzani Expresses Gratitude For Condolences Over Abdulwahid Barzani

President Masoud Barzani has sent a message of thanks and appreciation to all citizens, government and political officials in the Kurdistan Region and Iraq, consuls and diplomatic representatives, and public figures who attended the mourning gathering for the late Abdulwahid Ibrahim Barzani.

A Message of Thanks and Gratitude from President Barzani

In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful,

“On my behalf and on behalf of all members of the Barzani family, I extend my sincere thanks and gratitude to the dear citizens, political parties, government and party officials in Iraq and the Kurdistan Region, consuls and representatives of countries, esteemed religious scholars, representatives of national and religious components, tribal sheikhs and dignitaries, and social, cultural and academic figures in Iraq and the Kurdistan Region, as well as the Coalition Forces, and the heroic leaderships and forces of the Peshmerga, Asayish and police, civil society organizations, media outlets, and all segments of society, and all dear Kurdistanis in the four parts of Kurdistan, who took the trouble to attend the mourning gathering for the late Abdulwahid Ibrahim Sheikh Abdulsalam Barzani and shared with us their feelings of solidarity and condolences.

I also extend our thanks and appreciation to all government officials, political entities, members of the Iraqi Council of Representatives, figures and tribal chiefs in Iraq and Syria, as well as officials and representatives of Arab countries and Gulf states, and political figures and entities from the other parts of Kurdistan and the Kurdistan diaspora abroad, who were kind enough to offer their condolences and sympathy and share our grief over this painful loss through condolence telegrams and messages and telephone calls.

I extend special thanks to the honorable people of Piramam, who hosted the mourners during the days of condolences with great hospitality despite the difficulty caused by the congestion. I also commend the efforts of the Asayish and police forces, which took responsibility for organizing traffic and maintaining the security of citizens.

The sincere feelings of sharing in our grief and loss by the dear people of Kurdistan are a matter of lasting respect and appreciation for us. I wish everyone continued safety and good health, and I ask Almighty God to protect them from every harm and misfortune and to reward them with the best of rewards.
