Young Kurdish Innovator Turns Language Idea Into 23 Apps

ERBIL (Kurdistan24) - A young Kurdish innovator whose name has entered the Guinness World Records is developing a digital language-learning project designed to make English easier to learn through Kurdish, with Kurdistan24 providing financial support to help him complete the initiative and make it available to learners free of charge.

Farhad Nariman has developed a teaching method based on long-term memory that links a foreign language directly with the learner's mother tongue.

Speaking to Kurdistan24, Nariman said his approach is intended to simplify English learning by reducing learners' dependence on complicated terminology and grammatical explanations.

By connecting English directly to Kurdish, he said, students can build stronger associations between words and concepts and retain what they learn for longer periods.

Nariman originally planned to publish the method as a book.

As the project developed, however, he decided to expand it into a digital platform consisting of 23 separate applications, each dedicated to a different area of language learning.

The shift from a single book to a collection of applications reflects the scale of the idea Nariman is trying to build and his effort to make the material more practical for a wider number of learners.

He later presented the project through social media, where, according to his account, it quickly attracted attention from citizens and people interested in learning languages.

Nariman's work is also connected to the cognitive abilities that previously earned him recognition from Guinness World Records.

Explaining the achievement to Kurdistan24, he said he had demonstrated an ability to use both sides of his brain simultaneously during an event held in Sweden.

"I use both sides of my brain at the same time," Nariman said. "On one side, I read numbers, while on the other, I play a game."

He said completing that challenge successfully led to his name being registered in Guinness World Records.

The same interest in memory and cognitive performance later became part of the thinking behind his educational project.

Nariman's current goal is to complete the digital platform and offer it to learners without charge.

To achieve that, he publicly called for an organization to provide financial backing so the project could be finished without requiring users to pay for access.

Kurdistan24 Media Institution subsequently decided to provide financial assistance to Nariman as part of its efforts to support and encourage talented young people.

The support is intended to help him complete the project and make the learning tools available to the public.

For Nariman, the initiative combines education, technology and entrepreneurship.

Instead of limiting the idea to a printed teaching method, he has sought to turn it into a digital product with multiple applications designed around different learning needs.

The project also places Kurdish at the center of the learning process rather than treating it simply as a language to be replaced by English.

By using the mother tongue as the bridge to a foreign language, Nariman is attempting to make language learning more accessible while also giving Kurdish a direct role in a modern digital education tool.

His work reflects a broader form of youth entrepreneurship in which individual skills and ideas are being developed into projects with potential public benefit.

With financial support now secured, Nariman's next step is to complete the platform and make its 23 applications available to learners.
