The Iranian Red Crescent Society reported that more than 125,000 civilian sites were damaged during 39 days of war involving U.S. and Israeli air operations that began on February 28, 2026.

The report detailed damage to residential buildings, commercial facilities, schools, universities, health centers, and infrastructure.

Separately, Amnesty International said in a post on X on April 10, 2026, that people in Iran have experienced 1000 hours of internet disruption and called for the immediate restoration of access, describing it as a fundamental human right.

The developments come as a temporary ceasefire holds following Pakistani mediation, with Iran–U.S. talks scheduled in Islamabad.

EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas said sanctions have limited Iran’s capabilities but called for broader negotiations addressing missile programs, cyber threats, and regional activities.

Speaking after a ceasefire, she said the truce offers an opportunity for expanded talks aimed at long-term peace.

Kallas emphasized coordination with regional partners and reiterated the EU’s position on freedom of navigation and the need to include Lebanon in ceasefire arrangements.

Spain’s Foreign Minister Jose Manuel Albares said he urged Iran to engage “in good faith” in talks with the United States during a recent call with his Iranian counterpart Abbas Araghchi, AFP reported.

Albares said he also called on Tehran to halt “all missile and drone launches,” adding that the conversation took place two days earlier as diplomatic efforts continue alongside ongoing hostilities.

The United States on Wednesday said more than 30,000 targets were struck across Iran during its recent military campaign, as the White House pressed Tehran to immediately reopen the Strait of Hormuz following reports of its closure despite a ceasefire agreement.

Speaking during a press briefing, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt described any disruption to the vital shipping lane as “completely unacceptable.”

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Wednesday that Israel remains prepared to confront Iran if necessary, despite a recently implemented ceasefire between the United States and Iran.

In a televised statement, Netanyahu stressed that Israel’s military campaign objectives have not yet been fully achieved and warned that further action remains possible.

A senior United States official said on Wednesday that a 10-point ceasefire plan circulated by Iran does not reflect the terms agreed upon with the White House, casting uncertainty over the fragile truce between the two sides.
